Type 2 Diabetes EducationEducation is provided in both small group and individual settings.We offer five classes covering the following topics:
About Our ClassesOur classes are small and provide valuable opportunities to get to know others who are managing diabetes. The classes are conducted by dietitians and nurse educators who are certified as diabetes educators and insulin pump trainers. The Helwig Health and Diabetes Center program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association. To EnrollPlease ask your physician for a referral. After we have received the referral from your physician, we will contact you to schedule your first session. We offer convenient weekday hours, as well as late afternoon and evening programs. When you come to your first class, please bring your blood glucose monitor, blood sugar records and supplies.
